Jason Paul Davis was born April 9, 1978, in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Melvin & Bobbie Davis. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1996, and earned an associate degree from Bainbridge College. Jason was assistant manager at Decatur Auto Parts and active at Grace Church.

The guy that was everybody’s friend, that was Jason Davis. His nature was to compete, and boy did he. He lived “Once a Bearcat, Always a Bearcat” and supported all the sports teams at Bainbridge High School. (He was even known to get a little rowdy and cause a stir with officials from time to time.) Jason left the “parts house” and could be found golfing, hunting, playing ball, or of course fishing depending on who called that day. He loved Braves baseball, NASCAR, and Georgia football, but above all his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His niece and nephews were his heartbeat, and he made sure they had fun. They all knew the rule: don’t tell your mama. Jason was the happy-go-lucky guy that made your day when he asked, “How’s my juniors?’ or “What’s for supper?”

Survivors include his parents; his sisters & brothers, Julie & Bryan Cottles and Jenni & Rex Wade; his favorite girl, Perry Lynn; his boys, Dawson, Davis, Bubba, and Ryker; his grandmother, Nancy Davis; and a host of extended family. Jason was preceded in death by his MawMaw, Betty Brock, and his grandfathers, Buford Brock and Carl Davis.
