Nancy Jean Lowther, age 80, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at Bainbridge Healthcare in Bainbridge, Georgia.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at Hilcrest Cemetery in Quincy, Florida.  The Rev. David Grubbs will officiate.  Russ Bowen, Joshua Miller, Gunner Love, Zac Miller, John Bowen, and Russell Cone will serve as honorary pall bearers.  The family will receive friends Monday evening, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.

Nancy was born September 23, 1941, in Norfolk, Virginia to Aubrey Leroy Harrell and Evelyn Jean Morris Harrell.  She worked in the U.S. Post Office in Attapulgus, Georgia, serving for a time as Postmaster, and later as a supervisor for an area of Quick Buys stores.  Always with a smile on her face, she was loved by everyone who met her.  Nancy was very artistic and loved to craft.  She shared her quilting and crocheting with her friends and loved ones.  Nancy was a gifted cake decorator.  She had a wonderful voice and loved to sing.  Her grandchildren loved her dearly and she them.  She found great joy in her cats and dogs.  Always ready to rescue a stray.  Nancy was always ready to pick up her fishing pole and try for that big one.  Full of joy and love, Nancy Jean Lowther will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Lowther is survived by her children, Debby Miller (Ricky) and Russell Cone (Alicia), all of Attapulgus; sister, Beth Beach (Frankie) of Quincy; brothers, Linn Harrell of Bainbridge and David Harrell (Patsy) of Homerville, Georgia; grandchildren, Russ Bowen (Christy), Nicki Miller (Chris), Chasity Cone (Arthur), John Bowen (Nicole), Josh Miller (Tiffy), Russell Cone (Lindsey), Katlin Cone, and 3 step-granddaughters; and great-grandchildren, Zac, Gunner, Libby, Layla, Josie, Rivers, Grady, Arabella, Nick, and 7 step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Kevin Scott Lowther.
