Don H. Meacham, 91, of Bainbridge & Lake Seminole, Ga., passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jon Mizell officiating.  Interment will be at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Don Huey Meacham was born April 13, 1930, in Herrin, Ill., the son of Charley & Lois Acker Meacham. After high school, Don proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base.

Being busy was Don’s number 1 goal. He enjoyed fishing, technology (particularly computer games), and woodworking. Grandchildren brought him the most joy especially when they wanted to cast a line. Though Don was very private, he shared his heart with those closest to him.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Eve Jones Meacham; his children, Connie & Mark Mitchell of Bainbridge, Phillip & Misty Fowler of Dothan, Ala., and Lesia & Charles Mooney of Jacksonville, Fla.; his daughter-in-law, Sheila Meacham; his siblings, Frances Meacham Lawrence and James Terry Meacham (Rachel), all of Alabama; his grandchildren, Donna Payne, Priscilla Davis, AnnaKate Fowler, Ben Mitchell, Brad Mitchell, Bella Fowler, and Dani Rae Shagreg-Daniel; his five great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sons, Barry & David Meacham; and his siblings, Jackie Meacham, Charles Meacham, and William Meacham.
