Beverly Lamb Widener, age 73, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Widener will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 15, at First Baptist Church of Bainbridge. The Rev. Chris Humphries will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery.   Lenny Widener, Joe Widener, Forrest Elkins, Larry Elkins, Jimmy Pitisci, and Shaun Lamb will serve as pallbearers.   The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00.

Beverly Lamb Widener was born December 19, 1947, in Bainbridge to Willie L. Lamb, Sr. and Josie Elaine Burnum Lamb. Beverly married the love of her life, William Widener. They shared life together for 42 years. Beverly was one of the charter employees of Bainbridge Jr. College. She was dedicated and enjoyed her work. She is a member of First Baptist Church. Beverly Widener will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Beverly is survived by her husband, William Vesta Widener of Bainbridge; brother, Willie Lamb (Dolores Johnson) of Columbus, Georgia; sister-in-law, Brenda Lamb of Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Lamb.
