Dolores Bonnell Williams, age 89, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2021, at Grady General Hospital in Cairo, Georgia.  A funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 11, 1:00 p.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Father Godfrey Boachie-Yiadom will officiate.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mrs. Williams will be interred beside her husband in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Dolores was born April 23, 1932, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Benjamin Stephen Bonnell and Agatha Schnider Bonnell.  She married John V. Williams.  She and John were married 56 years.  John, the love of her life, preceded her in death June 17, 2010.  Dolores and John lived in South Florida for about 50 years before moving to Cairo.  Dolores was a talented hairdresser.  She enjoyed sewing and was a great cook.  Mrs. Williams was a dedicated member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church.  She served her church tirelessly.  Dolores will be deeply missed by her family and many, many friends.

Dolores Williams is survived by her son, Jay K. Williams and wife Karyn of Tallahassee, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Suzanne Williams Purgason.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Williams to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1500 11^th Avenue N.W., Cairo, Georgia 39828.
