William Arthur Harvey was born January 2, 1944, in Moultrie, Ga., the son of Grady & Doris White Harvey. He was a graduate of Moultrie Senior High School. Billy lived in southwest Georgia his entire life and made many connections over the years as an auto parts salesman. He was Baptist by faith.

Billy was a workaholic so mentioning his retirement was really like introducing a new chapter. It was only logical that he work in the auto industry and driving cars with the team from Hobson GM was perfect. Billy was “just a good ol’ guy” that could always strike up a conversation. He played a little golf and enjoyed fishing. He loved to watch basketball and baseball. And just like most “good ol’ guys”, his favorite teams were the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include his son, Kevin Harvey of Ochlocknee, Ga.; his brothers, Larry Harvey (Renna) of Perry, Ga., and Keith Harvey (Margaret) of Ashville, N.C.; his grandchildren, Amanda & Bradley, Heather & Andrew, Beth & Joseph, Josie, and Wyatt; his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trinity, Montana, Ivy, and Logan; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Harvey, and his great-granddaughter, Katie.
