Family gatherings and visiting with neighbors topped Jimmy’s list of favorite things to do. He walked miles each day taking in the sights and sounds. Occasionally he would stop at the Boat Basin to feed the animals. He loved a glass of sweet tea especially while watching reruns of Gunsmoke. He had a solid work ethic (never missed a day of work) and a strong faith. Jimmy fed his soul with the teachings of Jimmy Swaggart and Joyce Myer. His children and grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy and he cherished the memories made with them.

Survivors include his children, Angel Stevens (DJ Jackson) of Colquitt, Ga., Jimmie Glisson (Thomas), Ruby Cook, Joyce Blair, and Becky Barwick, all of Bainbridge; his siblings, Neil Stevens, Kay Stevens, and Othea Folton; his sixteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife; his daughter, Bobbie Owens; and his siblings, James Stevens and Annette Stevens.
