Rinaldo “Len” Gallucci

Mr. Rinaldo (Len) Gallucci has finally finished his course and made it home to be with his Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ. Mr. Gallucci passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Pinewood Nursing Center in Whigham, Georgia.  Len will be interred in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia, with military honors.  A memorial service will be held at Cox Funeral Home.   The date and time will be announced later.

Len Gallucci was born February 2, 1923, in Montclair, New Jersey to Tony Gallucci and Mary Ann DeAngelius Gallucci. He attended Montclair High. Len enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.  While in the Air Force he attended various schools of instruction on maintenance of engines, electrical systems, and instruments. Upon completion of his training, he was made an instructor, teaching courses in the maintenance of engines and electrical systems of aircraft. He was sent to Wilmington, Delaware air base where he was placed in charge of a crew made up of civilians and G.I.’s performing the inspection and electrical maintenance of various aircraft.

Len attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated with a BA in Theology. Upon graduation he returned home and to his church, Bethel of Newark, N.J. and served as youth pastor.

Len married Lorraine Corcoran, his beloved wife of 65 years. Len’s final place of employment before retirement was as a sales rep for Cold Air of Vero Beach, Florida. He and his wife were active in Special Force Family Ministries, a ministry for the physically disabled and the mentally challenged located in Minnesota and Missouri from 1990 to 2003. In October 2003, Len, Lorraine, and Valerie (their daughter) moved to Bainbridge, Georgia. He was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Len is survived by his daughter, Valerie Jean Gallucci of Whigham, Georgia; brother-in-law, Everett Linville of Cornelius, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Christine Corcoran of Arizona; several nieces and great nieces; and nephews and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Corcoran Gallucci and his son, Ronald Richard Gallucci.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to give in honor of Mr. Gallucci to the charity of their choice.
