Funeral services for Bennie Earl Powe, 46, of Whigham, Ga., are at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, Ga. Pastor Johnny Burdick will officiate. Mr. Powe passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga., on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Active pallbearers will be Wade Croley, Jason Pyles, Clay Strickland, Bo Harrell, Scott Trulock and Kevin Harrison. His work family at Georgia Gulf Sulfur will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Powe was born on January 3, 1975, in Thomasville, Ga., to the late Bennie Maurice Powe and Marge Faulkner Powe. On February 29, 2008, he married Melindy Folsom Powe, who survives. He was a maintenance manager with Georgia Gulf Sulfur Corporation in Bainbridge. He loved his job and co-workers like family. He was a member of Whigham Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Earl was a loving husband and father to his children.

Above all, Earl was a family man that always wanted his wife and children close by. He was a loving husband to his wife, Melindy, and loved his four children dearly, Brooke Powe (Jordan Nease) of Cairo, Ga., Kynlee, Fisher, and Briar Powe, all of Whigham, Ga. He was also proud of his first grandson, Jude Nease. His lifelong best friend, Wade Croley, from Climax, Ga., will miss him greatly.

The family will receive friends at graveside immediately following the graveside service.
