Nancy Langston Gray, 77, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Melissa Traver officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Bobby Langston, Fred Gray, Wayne Strickland, Hunter Strickland, Elijah Brock, and Sammy H. Gray, III, will serve as active pallbearers.

Nancy was born November 14, 1943 in Jacksonville, Fla., the daughter of Max and Ruth Langston. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1961, and Georgia State College for Women. She taught home economics for several years for the Miller County School System.

She loved bowling, cards, and fishing and was the spitting image of her mother. Her big heart and unconditional love were gifts from Mrs. Ruth. When seen with her cousin, Susan Thomas, everyone would picture the movie Driving Miss Daisy. As was the longtime family tradition, she was actively involved in the Bainbridge community and charities. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie Gray of Bainbridge, GA; her son, Fred Gray of Zephyrhills, Fla.; her grandchildren, Hunter Strickland, Katelyn Brock (Elijah), Amanda Burnett (Jonathan), Ashley Medley (Kyle), Jennifer Gray, and Sammy H. Gray, III; her nephew and great-nephew, Robert Dewey Langston, Jr. (Mandy) and Dewey Maximo Langston; and her 14 great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy H. Gray; her parents, Max and Ruth Langston; her brother, Robert Dewey Langston; and her sons, Sammy H. Gray, Jr. and Jeff Gray.
