Danna Sue Cloud was born January 5, 1942 in Bainbridge, Ga., the daughter of Carl and Eleanor Folds Cloud. She was a graduate of Climax High School and later attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Danna Sue earned both her bachelors and master’s degrees in Home Economics from the University of Georgia. She spent thirty years teaching, retiring from Appling County Board of Education. Danna Sue and her beloved husband, Charles, moved back to her childhood hometown, Climax, in 1995. She was an active member of Climax United Methodist Church, the Climax Community Club and the Golden Agers. Danna Sue volunteered her time with Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Cedar Grove Cemetery Fundraisers, and the Southwest Georgia Regional Library Board.

Danna Sue did not let any obstacle in the path stop her from marching forward. Her favorite role post-retirement was being the first lady of Climax, and her all-time favorite role was keeping Charles on the straight and narrow. She enjoyed making pottery, hunting and fishing. Danna Sue loved spending time in The Word and attending Bible studies. Her friends and family can testify if she thought it, she said it and she was never short of a tidbit of advice.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charles Hadsock; her sisters, Marlene (Dean) Free, Linda (Jeff) Lewis, Martha (Kenneth) Hawthorne, and Nancy (Bruce) Kirbo; and seven nieces and nephews. Danna Sue was preceded in death by her parents.
