Gregory Lewis Parker was born on July 25, 1957 to Evie Dell and Alton Parker of Colquitt Georgia, both deceased. Mr. Parker’s wife of 31 years was Mary Ozella Parker of Bainbridge, Georgia. Mr. Parker had 3 daughters, Martina B. Sheuring and husband, Michael of Dahlonega, Julie Cochran of South Dakota, and Amanda Bohanan of Crawfordville, Florida. He had five sons, Greg L. Parker, II of Missouri, Jimmy Clenney and wife, Stephanie of Dahlonega, David Parker of North Carolina, Tray Parker of New Hampshire, and Josh Parker and wife, Samantha of Dahlonega. Mr. Parker had 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way. He is survived by one biological brother, Ricky Parker of Bainbridge, Georgia and brother-in-law (like a brother), Walter Black.

Mr. Parker was an oil rig driller, irrigation, and house water well driller. He was a mighty man of God and only preached the straight and undiluted word of God. No tickling ears were allowed in his ministry. He loved wholly. Greg and his wife led many souls to the Lord. Mr. Parker was the pastor at Fresh Anointing Church of Dahlonega.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 3 p.m., at Solid Rock Church in Bainbridge.  Pastors Lionell Leonard, Cleve Williams, and Allen Griffin will officiate.

On-line condolences may be sent at  Cox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
