Inez Dawson Rich, 86, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Monday, December 14, 2020.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Oak City Cemetery with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Callie Inez Dawson was born February 23, 1934 in Miller County, Ga., the daughter of Jefferson and Martha Love Dawson. She was a graduate of Seminole County High School, Class of 1953. She married Devid Talmadge Rich in 1956 and committed herself to being a preacher’s wife in the highest regard. Inez was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Mitchell County.

Inez has been described as a “devoted wife, mother and grandmother”. She held her ground when she needed to and always supported her husband and children. Often, she took to the sidelines working behind the scenes. Inez loved vintage movies, cooking and talking on the telephone. Her heart was her family. Her beloved Devid paid her the highest compliment saying, “Inez was the sweetest woman that ever was.”

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Rev. Devid Rich; her children, Angie Regan and her fiancé, Rick Chavez, of Donalsonville, Ga., Pam & Don Hargrove of Whigham, Ga., and Wanda & Charlie Cook of Bainbridge, Ga.; her grandchildren, Ken, David & Beth, Krystle & David, Chris, Kelly & Mickey, Keven, Katelynn, Beth & Jonathon, and Jessica & Preston; her eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her brothers, Eli Dawson, Oscar Dawson, Edgar Dawson, Curtis Dawson, Jimmy Dawson, and Howard Dawson.
