With Thanksgiving now in the rear view mirror, people are already preparing for the next major holiday, Christmas. While some people may buy artificial trees, others prefer to have the genuine article. And for that, they can go to Spring Hill Tree Farm.

Owned by Dan Provence, Spring Hill offers a variety of tree sizes and species, including Frasier Fir and Carolina Sapphire. They were also responsible for organizing the sale and delivery of the trees at the Earle May Boat Basin’s Tinsel Trail, from a North Carolina farm.

According to Provence, he expects a good year for business, having planted 1,000 trees since last year.

“We expect a busy season,” he said in an interview. “We actually had a banner year in October for our Oktoberfest. We had record crowds on October.”

For anyone interested in buying a Christmas tree from Spring Hill, their hours are from 1:00- 6:00 p.m.., Sunday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m..- 6:00 p.m.. on Saturdays. They are open until the weekend of December 18th, or until they sell out.
