Thomas Lee “Tommy” Edmonds, 63, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Monday, November 23, 2020.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Roberts officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Thomas Lee Edmonds was born February 25, 1957, in Jacksonville, Fl., the son of Lee and Ida Mae Strickland Edmonds. Tommy fell in love with the wide-open roads and became a truck driver. He loved the outdoors and took every opportunity to fish. He spent several years living on Lake Seminole where he could enjoy the beauty of creation and fish without leaving home. The grandchildren were Tommy’s pride and joy. He beamed with every update and accomplishment they shared and kept those memories stored in his heart.

Survivors include his son, Lee Edmonds and his wife, Stephanie, of Ramstein, Germany; his grandchildren, Austin Hall, Topanga Hall, AddaLynn Edmonds, and Zoey Edmonds; the mother of his children, Rhonda Edmonds Murphy; his sisters, Deborah Lynn Hall (John) and Nannette Heard; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his 2nd parents, Talmadge and Betty Rentz; and his daughter, Courtney Anne Singletary.
