Mr. Gerald Lamar Cook, 74, of Colquitt, died Thursday, November 19, 2020, at his residence.  Funeral services were held Sunday, November 22, 2020, at 3 p.m. at Eldorendo Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Royals and Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Steve Miller, Glen Sheffield, Wayne Melton, Johnny Skipper, Jess Cook, and Johnny Cook serving as active pallbearers. Visitation was held Sunday, November 22, 2020, from 2-3 p.m. at Eldorendo Baptist Church.

Mr. Cook was a member of Eldorendo Baptist Church and retired from Pepsi Cola.

He is survived by his wife, Jerrie Maddox Cook of Colquitt, Ga.; two daughters, Melissa “Lisa” (Otis) Brock of Bainbridge, Ga., and Karen (Luke) Cook of Colquitt; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Levi) Gay, Lee (Ashley) Brock, Casey Brock, Megan Brock, Phillip Cook, and Todd Cook; five great-grandchildren, Kayden Cook, Liam Gay, Sawyer Gay, Adaline Brock, and Alivia Brock; and his caregiver, Angie Morgan.  Mr. Cook was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Pickren; his parents, Lige and Annie Ola West Cook; four brothers; and one sister.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Kindred Home Health and Kindred Hospice at 432 E. Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Colquitt Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
