Mr. Charles Everett Turner, age 76, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at his home in Decatur County, Georgia. Mr. Turner was able to be in his home because of the wonderful ladies of Kindred Hospice. May God bless you all. We especially want to thank Sandra Haire, Joanna Hatfield and Regina Jones. The family will hold a service for Charles at a later date.

Charles Everett Turner was born March 11, 1944, in Mitchell County, Georgia. His parents, Wiley Everett Turner and Patricia Oleda Watts Turner, have preceded him in death. Charles grew up in Sale City, Georgia. In 1983 he married the love of his life, Sandra Barfield Turner. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army and worked many years for the City of Camilla as a firefighter/policeman. He retired as a maintenance mechanic for Georgia Power, Plant Mitchell, after 30 years of service. Charles enjoyed fishing, especially for brim. He was great at card games. He loved all types of solitaire and playing dominoes. He also had great fun playing Tetris on his Gameboy. Much loved by his friends and family, Charles Turner will be deeply missed.

Charles Everett Turner is survived by his wife, Sandra Barfield Turner of Bainbridge; children, Lisa Daniels (Dean), Melanie Clark (Brian), Chuck Turner (Anna), Merry April Turner (Wesley Tillery), Brandon Givens, and Shanna Givens Feaster (Bill); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara Godwin (Steve), Terry Caldwell (Jodi), Linda Gay, Mary Lynn Turner, Wylene Turner, and Greg Turner (Chris). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wayne Turner, stepson, Carroll Todd Givens, and grandson, William E. Turner.
