The Bainbridge-Decatur County Recreation Authority is excited to announce they will be hosting their annual Trunk-or-Treat this year with a new twist; the event will be drive-thru.

Due to the Governor’s Executive Orders, gatherings of 50 or more are prohibited. With this in mind, the BDCRA decided to continue to host the event, but make it safe.

Starting at 6 p.m. on Halloween night, families can line up in their vehicle and drive through the various trunk displays, who will be giving out bags of candy for all the kids in the car to share.

The trunk or treat will last until 8 p.m.

The BDCRA understands kids still want to show off their costume and will be hosting a virtual costume contest on Facebook. In addition, they will send out a link for viewers to pick their favorite trunk.

There will be a category for favorite trunk, scariest trunk and director’s choice.
