Allie Ben (Benny) Prince Jr.

Mr. Allie Ben (Benny) Prince, Jr. passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 on his farm in Grady County, Georgia.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the service will be limited to family.  A Celebration of Life is slated for mid-late October at the Farmer’s Heritage Museum and will include a good, old- fashioned fish fry and sing for family and friends.  A date and time will be announced soon.

Benny Prince is survived by his loving wife, Judy Palmer Prince; children, Dana Prince Willis and husband, Mark and Derick (Doc) Prince and wife, Angie; siblings Martin Prince and wife, Sandra and Annette Ulmer, all of Cairo, Georgia; grandchildren Tabor Forgay of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Palmer Forgay of Bozeman, Montana, Mose Willis of Tallahassee, Florida, Hannah Elliott and husband, Brett of Bainbridge, Georgia, Eli, Boone, and Ryland Prince, all of Cairo; great-grandson Maddox Elliott of Bainbridge; nephews Jackie Williams, Ronnie Williams, Earl Prince, Tracy Ulmer, and nieces Tina Pearce, Leanne Ulmer, and Jennifer Rounsaville.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie Ben Prince and Mary Gladys Gainous Prince; sister Opal Williams; and great-granddaughter London Avery Elliott.

When God made Benny Prince, he broke the mold.

Benny was a Son, Brother, Husband, Daddy, Papa, Uncle, & Cousin.

A friend to all and a stranger to no one.

He was a life-long learner and a local historian.

He loved anything World War II, Antique, Farm related and Ancestral.

He loved Grady County and was a true American and Patriot.

He loved his family and looked forward to every family reunion.

He was a staple in the lives of his children and grandchildren and never missed a dance recital or competition, baseball, soccer, or football game, band concert, track meet, or school event.

He strived to make Grady County a better place to live… Serving as County Commissioner of District 2, as a Bus Driver for Summer Fun, CHS Football, and School Routes, as avid fundraiser for anyone in need with his world renowned Chicken Pilau and as an active member in his church and farm community.

His days were filled with fishing, feeding his goats, antique collecting, auctions, arrowhead hunting, gun collecting, dumpster diving, oyster shucking, fish frying, and most of all storytelling.  He always had a story for every situation and always left you wanting to hear more.

Nothing about Benny Prince was normal and anyone who knew him would agree.

The only thing better than his being a perfect husband to his wife was being the best daddy to his kids….and the only thing better than that was the amazing Papa he was to his grandkids.

There is no doubt there are reunions and celebrations going on in heaven right now and I can only imagine the stories being told.

The heartache we feel, no one can take away or heal… The Precious Memories we have of you, no one can steal.
