Dorcy Jean Norris Glass, age 56, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida.  Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home.  The Rev. DeWitt Phillips officiated.  Rickie Shawn Nichols, Mitchell Rhodes, Rusty Rogers, Dylan Rhodes, Damian Rogers, Jesse Rhodes, and William Harrell served as pallbearers. The family received friends following the service.  Mrs. Glass was interred beside her husband in Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Dorcy Jean Norris Glass was born July 10, 1964 in Long Beach, California.  She was the child of Mary Sturtevant Norris and the late James Lee Norris, Sr.   In 2004 she married the love of her life, Lemuele E. “Buddy” Glass, who preceded her in death.  Dorcy loved to shop at yard sales.  She had a heart for pets, especially dogs.  Dorcy loved people and made friends easily.  Her heart belonged to those who called her “Meme”.  She loved being a grandmother.  Dorcy will be deeply missed by the family she loved so much and many friends.

Dorcy Jean is survived by her mother, Mary Norris of Jacksonville, Florida; children, Karla Mullis of Panacea, Florida, Kevin Key of Bainbridge, Georgia, Faye Harrison of Donalsonville, Georgia, Travis Glass of Florida, and Kimberly Glass of Atmore, Alabama; siblings, Donna Rhodes and husband, Mitchell of Bainbridge, Shelly Rogers and husband, Rusty of Jacksonville, and Lee Norris of Commerce City, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  Dorcy was preceded in death by her father, James L. Norris, Sr.; husband, Buddy Glass; and sister, Kathy Newton.
