Johnny Harrell, 67, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ryan Carnes officiating.  Interment will follow at New Home Free Will Baptist Church No. 2 Cemetery. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Johnny Harrell was born September 26, 1952 in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Jessie Paul Harrell and Katie Mae Boutwell Harrell. He was a graduate of Georgia School for the Deaf, Class of 1972. Johnny lived in South Georgia and North Florida serving customers at the Killearn Country Club in Tallahassee, Goodwill, where he was named Employee of the Year twice, and retired from Winn Dixie. He was a member of Christian Heritage Church.

Johnny was quite a people person. He enjoyed life and enjoyed sharing life with his family. He was an avid wrestling fan and watched everything from Gordon Solie to WWE. Johnny loved to tinker on things from repairing whatever was broken to building model cars.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Harrell of Tallahassee, Fl.; and his siblings, J.P Harrell, Jr. of Bainbridge, his twin sister, Janice Lashley and her husband, Wayne, of Havana, Fl.; Dorothy Murkerson of Lake Seminole, Bessie Cox of Tallahassee, and Betty Dawson and her husband, John, also of Tallahassee. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brothers, James Harrell and Nelson Harrell.
