Mary Sue Palmer, 67, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Grubbs officiating.

Mary Sue Hall was born October 15, 1952 in Donalsonville, Ga., the daughter of John and Frances Roberts Hall. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and worked in production at Thomas & Betts. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

“Mama Sue” aka “Nane Nane” was the ring leader of this family and often described as the glue that held them together. She enjoyed everything about her yard and working in her flower beds, especially if she was supervising the cleanup. Sue loved a gathering of family and friends for any occasion and always offered up her famous red velvet cake.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Terry Palmer; her children, Robbie & Staci Daughtry of Bainbridge, Brian Palmer also of Bainbridge, Shane & Mindy Palmer, and Sandy Erskine all of Tifton, Ga.; her grandchildren, Blake, Kale, Madi, Bricen, Careygan, Dillan, Haley, Janna, and Rentz; her great-grandchild, Brooks; and her siblings, Wayne Hall, Terry Hall, Larry Hall, Phil & Myra Hall, Diana & Larry Moore, Diane & Phil Long, and Jean & Devin Thompson. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Rathel.
