James Lynn Chapman was born June 23, 1935 in Istachatta, Fl., the son of Malcom and Iva Blanton Chapman. After earning his high school diploma and taking some college courses, Lynn struck out in the world. He retired from Publix as a supermarket manager and moved to “The Lake” in 2000. He was United Methodist by faith and a 32° Mason.

Lynn operated from a spirit of giving. He unselfishly shared what he had with his family and others. He offered a listening ear and mentored many throughout his career with Publix. Lynn enjoyed the outdoors and thought he found sportsman’s paradise for hunting and fishing at Lake Seminole. The Beau Rivage in Biloxi was a favorite destination for travel.

Survivors include his companion, Glenda Sirmans; his children, Peggy Krupa of Strongsville, OH, Steve Chapman & Mary Rinehart of Gainesville, Sandy Chapman & Jim Grenfell of Littleton, CO, and Jennifer Sirmans of Davenport, Fl.; his siblings, Tyrone M. Chapman and his wife, Margie, of Wauchula, Fl. and Cretha Grant and her husband, Aubrey, of Tampa, Fl.; his grandchildren, Tracy, Katie and Skylar; his great-grandchild, Taylor; and his great-great-grandchild, Kinsley.
