Christopher Ashley Hines, 36, of Thomasville, Ga., passed away Friday, June 19, 2020.

Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Christopher Ashley Hines was born on October 7, 1983, in Thomasville, the son of Marvin Ansel Hines, Jr. and Vickie Darlene Barnett.  Christopher graduated Class of 2002 from Bainbridge High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army.   Christopher married Davelyne in 2005, and they have one son, Ashton.

After serving in the Army, Christopher worked for Georgia Power as a switchboard wireman.  Known for always being a hard worker, Christopher could see the potential in others and tried to push them to do better.  He was also known as a great father, friend and leader on and off the job.  Christopher did everything he could to enjoy all the little things in life.  He surrounded himself with family, always looked for the next big adventure and loved to travel especially when riding on his motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Davelyne Leeann Hines of Thomasville; his son, Ashton Cage Hines of Thomasville; his siblings, Gary Wood, Jr. and his wife, Sheila, of LaGrange, Ga., Jonathan Barnett of Pavo, Ga., Dustin Mark Booth also of Pavo, Alicia Hines Lee and her husband, RD, of Burlington, Iowa, Megan Hines of Thomasville, and Ricky Gipson, Jr.; his mother, Vickie Barnett Prickett; and his grandparents, Johnny Barnett and his wife, Isabelle, of Bainbridge.  Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ansel Hines, Jr.
