Charles Ray Singleton, Sr., 65, of Brinson, Ga., passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020.

Charles Ray Singleton was born March 27, 1955 in Hawthorne, CA, the son of Charles Edward Singleton and Lois Tyler Singleton. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After moving to Southwest Georgia, Charles married Gloria Dianne Childree in 1974. He worked as a truck driver for GPS Services and was Baptist by faith.

 

If you could name a favorite place, Charles would say “outside”. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and horseback riding. He loved traveling the open road and spent his years as a truck driver taking in every site. His family served as a beacon for home where he spent many years making precious memories.

 

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Gloria Dianne Singleton; his children, Charles R. Singleton, Jr. and Wendy Dianne Lairsey both of Brinson, Ga.; his brother, John Singleton of Goldfield, NV; and his grandchildren, Amber, Cheyenne, Alexis, Stacy, Kasey and Nicholas. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his siblings, Lee Singleton, Stanley Singleton, Billy Singleton and Linda Brinkley.
