Funeral services for Patsy Gibbs Morris, 72, of Cairo, Ga., are at 2 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2020, at Midway Baptist Church, Cairo. Rev. Johnny Burdick and Rev. Carl Harrell will officiate. Services will conclude at the church. Private family interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Whigham, Ga.. Mrs. Morris passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Fla., on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Active pallbearers will be Trey Gibbs, Justin Parker, Jeffery Tavener, Chuck Stafford, Bobby Miller, Mac Rosencrantz, Tim Schafer and Wayne Gilliard.

Mrs. Morris was born on August 15, 1947, in Bainbridge, Ga., to the late Walter Cecil Gibbs, Sr. and Virginia Harrison Gibbs. On July 10, 1966, she married Tony Morris, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2007. She was a licensed cosmetologist. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughters, Marty Morris Knight (Robby) of Whigham, Amy Morris Gintz of Leesburg, Ga.; grandchildren, Sailor Grey Gintz of Leesburg, Aberum Lane Knight of Whigham; brother, Cecil Gibbs (Carolyn) of Whigham; sister, Donna Tavener (Jim) of Commerce, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jill Mahan (Ryan), Jeffery Tavener (Ashley), Trey Gibbs (Lauren); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Walt Gibbs, Raney Tavener, Rhett Mahan, Rylan Mahan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Morris’ memory to: Midway Baptist Church, 2389 GA HWY 93 South, Cairo, GA; or the National Down Syndrome Society, 8 E 41st Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10017.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
