Bainbridge gets weekend wins over Seminole County

The Bainbridge Bearcats and Lady Cats closed out the regular season schedule with wins last Saturday night at the BHS Gym against Seminole County.
The Bearcats won 54-53 and the Lady Cats downed the Lady Indians 48-22.
In double figures for the Bearcats were K.J. Cochran with a strong 18 points and Lathan Levens with 12 points. Other scorers for the Bearcats were Mark Taylor Jr. with 8 points, Dorrian Cooper and TJ Tarver with 4 points each, Alvanni Williams, Tyrell Bryant, Dylun Worlds and Dewayne Kyles 2 with points each.
In double figures for the Lady Cats were India Parris with 13 points and Taralyn Brown with 11 points. Other scorers for the Lady Cats were Anndrea Porter and Denise Chappell with 6 points each, Detavia Salter with 5 points, Angel Peterson with 3 points and Destiny Turner and Taniah Register with 2 points each.
The J.V. Bearcats (16-2) won 54-19 in their game. In double figures for them was VJ Erving with 11 points.
The Bearcats and Lady Cats took on Thomas County Central Tuesday night in a Region 1-AAAAA play-in game at the Bainbridge Gym to determine the fourth place team in the region tournament.
