A winter exhibit from members of The Southwest Georgia Artists Guild will open on Thursday, January 16 at 6 p.m. with a public reception at the Firehouse Gallery.

Featuring the work of 35-40 area artists, the show includes works in several mediums from Southwest Georgians, but also from North Florida, and Southern Alabama.

One of the featured artists is D. Arthur McBride of Havana, a portrait artist who has entered three oil paintings in the show. She is well known in the area for her life-like paintings and she has taught several artists in this community.
