Dorothy Lee White was born December 18, 1934 in Bainbridge, Ga, the daughter of Eugene and Beatrice White. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and worked for thirty years as a buyer for Belk. Dorothy attended Highway Free Will Baptist Church.

Dorothy never met a stranger and she encountered many folks over her thirty-year stint at Belk. She had a heart for people and spent her lifetime reaching out to others. Rarely did she put herself first. Dorothy was a perfect fit as a retail buyer because she enjoyed feeling beautiful and helping others feel beautiful. Flowers served as a reminder of the beauty found in the simple things.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Hunt of Bainbridge; her son, Thomas “Al” Dollar, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Ashford, Ala.; her son-in-law, Jimmy Miller of Bainbridge; her bonus children, Brenda & Danny Enfinger of Webb, Ala., Kenneth Hunt of Auburn, Ala., William H. Hunt of Opelika, Ala. and Diana & Emory Dillard of Roxanna, Ala.; her siblings, Maxi & Jimmy Bailey, Maxine & Jerry Dooling and John Thomas & Gail White all of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Allison Middlebrooks, Robert Dollar, Jr., Kristin Barron and Alexis Smith; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Tom A. “Bunk” Dollar; and her children, Elaine Miller and Bobby Dollar.
