On Sunday, December 14, 2019, at approximately 4:54 a.m., the G.B.I. Region 9 Office was requested by the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office to assist in an Aggravated Assault Investigation after Arthur Cook , 18, was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries.

The investigation revealed Mr. Cook was assaulted at his residence by four individuals due to an ongoing personal dispute.

On Friday, December 31, 2019, The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested Christopher Brian Chinell, 18,  of Climax, Chaz King, 17, of Bainbridge, Gage Swicord, 19, of Bainbridge, and Midquel Perkins, 18,  of Bainbridge in reference to the assault.   

Special agent, Mike Callahan said it is not unusual for kids of this age to be involved in this type of violent crime towards another.

King, and Chinell are charged with Aggravated Assault.  Swicord and Perkins are charged with Aggravated Assault and Theft by Entering a Motor Vehicle
