Bob Jones, age 72, of Donalsonville, Ga. passed away Thursday morning, Nov.

28, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Jones were held on Saturday morning, Nov. 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Smith officiating.  Interment followed in Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Jacob Cox, Zack Cox, “G” Minto, Brandon Phillips, Larry Bush, and Don Bush serving as active casketbearers. Visitation was held on Friday evening, Nov. 29, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born in Donalsonville, Ga. on December 30, 1946 to Zachriah R. Jones and Myrtle Moncrief Jones. Mr. Jones was employed with Sun South and worked as a service manager. Mr. Jones retired from this position after 50 years. Mr. Jones was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He loved his family dearly especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Janice Bush Jones; his children, Angela (Rich) Fite, and Lisa (Glenn) Minto; his grandchildren, Mollie (Eric) Davis, Emily (Josh) Vallescorbo, Jacob Cox, Zack Cox, “G”(Glenn Jr.) Minto, Tiffany Givens, and Matthew Cox, Brayden Davis, Jayden Davis, and Payten Davis; his great grandchildren, Braylea, Ava, Holland, Myla, and Eli. Mr. Jones is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Zachariah R. and Myrtle Moncrief Jones; his siblings, Thomas Jones, Benjamin Jones, Sammy Jones, and David Jones.
