I have written an article to warn customers of BCBS that if they receive a Government Subsidy in 2019 or for 2020, to check with marketplace or an agent to check what was sent to them. I have had many clients come in with their letters of renewal and they were all grossly higher in premiums than what the letter states.

I feel this is something the public needs to be made aware of, since when they find out it will be too late to enroll for 2020 and they will be stuck with a very large premium or they will have to drop their coverage.

This only applies to Individual ACA Health Insurance, and for clients who get a reduced premium due to their specific household information, like Age, Sex, Non Smoker or Smoker, Zip Code and Adjusted Gross Income.

So people with Group Insurance, or other types of insurance, this will not apply; only to ones getting a Subsidy.

It is important to get this out to the public. Open Enrollment is only between Nov. 1, 2019 and Dec. 15, 2019.
