Bearcats take second place at TCC cross- country invitational

Stokes Moore crossed the finish line first last Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational 5K in Thomasville, clocking a 17:20.20 5K time and launching the Bearcats to a second place finish in the boys varsity race.

The Bearcats’ high finish was also helped by Landon Watts, who took 10th place overall with a time of 19:16. Aiden Matthews was the third Bainbridge runner to finish in under 20 minutes with a time of 19:59.

Kendall Glover clocked in at 20:07, Donye Mills finished at 20:26, Andru Matthews crossed the finish line at 20:44 and Tom Emmons finished at 20:51.

Hunter Harris clocked in at 22:22, Titus Porter finished with a time of 22:48 and DeZhreon Donaldson crossed the finish line at 23:13.

Thomas Brock clocked in at 23:15, Joe Emmons finished at 24:16, Jonathon Farrington finished at 24:41, Mariovan Dominguez clocked in at 24:49, Juan Escamilla Sotuyo came through at 25:32, Joshua Fillingame clocked in at 27:40 and Hayden Martin finished at 27:50.

Freshman Rylan Bland led the charge for the Lady Cats in the girls varsity race with an 8th place finish and a time of 24:18 in the 5K race. The Lady Cats finished second place overall.

Sara Matthews clocked in at 24:03 and Katelyn Miller finished with a time of 34:05.

The Yellow Jacket Invitational concluded Bainbridge’s regular cross-country season. The Region meet is Thursday, Oct. 24.
