The Lady Cats couldn’t have finished out the game without the help of Beachem, who went 2-4 in hits and Turkeisha White, who had an RBI.

After coming back from two wins, the Lady Cats fell short to Dodge County 4-3. Unfortunately, Bainbridge couldn’t keep up with Dodge County early on in the game. Dodge County’s Jacey Dowdy scored a home run and a double in the second inning. Linzy Bowen earned the win for Dodge County, striking out five and walking zero. Bainbridge’s Gardner surrendered three runs and four hits.

In all, the Lady Cats collected nine hits with Briggs, Delbrey and Cy Gant each collecting multiple hits for the team. Briggs went 3-for-4 at the plate and  led the team with two runs batted in.

Not letting the loss bring them down, the Lady Cats defeated Bleckley County 5-4 in Saturday’s game. An early lead helped the Lady Cats land a victory, as they scored on an error and a passed ball in the first inning. Delbrey earned the win striking out nine and only surrendering two hits.

Coach Christopher Bryant was impressed with the team overall.

“We did a good job getting people on base and a better job getting them in,” he said. “Outstanding pitching from Lexie and Abby and great defensive work from everyone else.”
