For the eighth year in a row, Ryan Adams met his goal selling hot chocolate to the community during the holiday season.

All of Adams’ proceeds the past eight years have gone toward Bainbridge families in need.

This year, Adams and his family raised more than $1,500.

“It’s great,” Adams said. “I love knowing that our community is still willing to help those in need.”

People came by the Pepsi stand Adams was selling out of Saturday and donated money toward his cause. They bought hot chocolate, pastries and sometimes just donated money without buying anything.

Pond House owner Steve Jones donated the hot chocolate, food and cups that Adams and his family sold throughout the day.

“I think it’s really good to see a young man trying to help people,” Jones said. “Ryan has been doing this for years. It was just good to see him get out and try to help people.”

Adams said this year’s hot chocolate sale wouldn’t have been possible without Jones’ help.

“Honestly, he was one of the biggest reasons we were able to make our goal,” Adams said.

Adams, 17, is a senior at Bainbridge High School.
