Betty Jo Tillman, 79, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Woodrum officiating. Interment was at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Coolidge, Ga. at 3 p.m. with Ashley King, Beau Parker, Jacob Sego, Josh Sego, Bud Tillman, Raleigh Tillman and Tim Bozeman serving as active pallbearers.

Mrs. Tillman was born June 20, 1936 in Prattville, Ala., the daughter of W. W. Lawrence and Irene Spears Lawrence. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School and worked as a Paraprofessional with the Decatur County School System for over 25 years. Mrs. Betty loved to shop and work in the garden. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and keeping a spotless home, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Gena T. Parker and her husband, Brian, of Bainbridge,  and Lori T. Sego and her husband, Jay, of Clayton, Ga.; her brother, Wayne Lawrence and his wife, Betty, of Moultrie; her grandchildren, Kasey King and her husband, Ashley, Matt Tillman, Beau Parker and his fiancé, Rachel Jacobs, Jacob Sego, Merrianna Parker, Josh Sego, Jon Sego, and Abby Sego; and her great-granddaughter, Marty Grace King.

In addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Marvin Tillman; her sons, Benton Gregg Tillman and Earl Marvin Tillman, Jr.; and her siblings, Winford Lawrence, Mabel Benton and Jean Carnes.
