Mrs. Laura Lucille Brooks, 81, of Albany, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, December 14, 2015.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Sunnyside Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Siniard, Rev. Steve Brooks and Rev. Bobby Brooks will officiate. The family will have a private interment at Andersonville National Cemetery on Thursday afternoon.

Born July 10, 1934 in Ocilla, Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of the late Robert L. Broome and Mary Cox Broome. She worked in childcare for many years and was a loving homemaker. She had a special love for children and was a faithful member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include her three sons, Rev. Bobby and Catrina Brooks of Leesburg, Rev. Steve and Suzy Brooks of Bainbridge and Phillip Brooks of Albany; sister, Wilma Alford of Nashville, GA; grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Sarah, Kelly, Kaycee, Kevin, Brittany and Katy.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Sunnyside Baptist Church.
