George Lee Sandefur

George L. Sandefur, 55, of Whigham, passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Private service to be held by his family.

Mr. Sandefur was born on November 13, 1959, in Cairo, Ga., to the late Keith Sandefur, Sr. and Freida Strickland Sandefur.  He was a member of the Vineyard Ministries of Cairo.

Survivors include his sons and daughters, Lee Sandefur of Cairo, Summer Rivenburg (Adrain) of  Whigham, Cody Sandefur of Cairo, Sara Sandefur of Cairo, and Torrie Mash of Moultrie, Ga.; grandchildren, Ayden Rivenburg of Whigham, Sophia Rivenburg of Whigham, Delilah “Moon Pie” Sandefur of Bainbridge, Zachary Sandefur of Cairo, Jade Johnson and Evan Johnson both of Moultrie; brother, Keith Sandefur  (Joye) of Cairo; and nieces, Kim Ponder of Whigham, Gina Sandefur, Sage Sandefur, Ashley Phelps, Julie Phelps, Kailee Phelps, all of Cairo; nephew, Brayden Phelps of Cairo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Sandefur’s memory to a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
