A special recognition dinner meeting was held by the Bainbridge Pilot Club on Thursday evening, at which time the club distributed proceeds from the club’s annual roast to local charities they help support.

Organizations and their representatives who received checks were: Johnny Brown and Charlene Holmes of Georgia Pines, Catherine Vanstone of the Gilbert H. Gragg Library, Jim Beck of Special Olympics, Sheila Swicegood and Ginger Folsom of Camp Arrow, Stacy Warren of The Salvation Army, Michael Cox of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office and Willie Phillips of the Decatur County Senior Center Meals on Wheels program. As club member Karon Elwell presented each with a check, the recipients spoke briefly on how the funds are used and appreciated by them.
