Mary Virginia Gay Love, age 85, beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother of Seminole, Oklahoma, formerly of Attapulgus, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born to Mattie Ethel Alexander and Andrew Jackson Gay. She graduated from Attapulgus High School. She was a member of Attapulgus Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosann Boyett Garcia and husband Juan Garcia of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jamie Wilkinson Lai and husband Jeremy Lai of Tucson, Arizona, Madrid Hyman and his wife Darlene Hyman of Brunswick, Ga., Johnny Hyman of Savannah, Ga. and Kandi Phillips and husband Phil Phillips of Ty Ty, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Grace and Jeremy Vincent, Jr. Lai, Trent and McKenzie Hyman, Chase, Chad and Chance Phillips; siblings, T.J. Gay and wife Doris of Attapulgus, Bobby Gay and wife SueAnn of Bradenton, Fla., She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gilbert Lamar Boyett, siblings, Jackie Gay, Cecil Gay and Hazel Gay.
Services will be Saturday, February 14 at 11 a.m. at Attapulgus Baptist Church with graveside to follow at Attapulgus Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Bishop will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, at Cox Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 Second Street, East, Tifton, Georgia 31794.
