Fay Hatcher White, 82, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Black Jack Baptist Church with Rev. Bill McCamon and Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Interment followed at Black Jack Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. White was born June 5, 1932 in Decatur County, Ga., the daughter of Smiley Byron Hatcher and Ola Selena Willis Hatcher. She was a graduate of Brinson High School, Class of 1949, and married A. E. White, Jr. on May 30, 1950. Fay worked as a nurse in Riverside Hospital for several years and then for Dr. Frank L. Gibson for 28 years. Mrs. White was an active member of Black Jack Baptist Church where she served on various committees over the years. She enjoyed working in the yard, watching her game shows, and being surrounded by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Alice W. Brock and her husband, Charlie, A. E. “Bobby” White, III and his wife, Sheila, and Marjorie W. Brock and her husband, Willard, all of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Leslie S. Tatum and her husband, Joe, Artie White and his wife, Jillian, Keri White, Carly Brock, David Brock, Charles Brock and his wife, Jennifer, and Amanda Rentz and her husband, Adam; and her great-grandchildren, Jason Brookshire, Hunter Brookshire, Chase Brookshire, Lauren and Allison Brookshire, Chase Tatum, Connor Willis, Jacee and Bailee Brock, and Riggs Rentz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Ellis “Bobby” White, Jr; her siblings, Earnest Hatcher, Lawrence Hatcher, S.B. Hatcher, Jr., Sherriel Hatcher, Otis “Spookie” Hatcher, and Gordon “Buck” Hatcher.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
