Carl and Anita Sexton of Bainbridge are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melody Dawn Donalson, to David “Scott” Eakin of Bainbridge.

The Bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Eiron and Cleve Knight and of the late Jim and Cornelia Sexton. She is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and is employed by Bainbridge Probation Substance Abuse Treatment Center, Dept. of Corrections.

The groom is the son of Rena Eakin and of Earl Eakin, both living in Bainbridge. He is the grandson of Joyce Moye of Bainbridge and Jeanette Eakin of Donalsonville, as well as the late Van Buren “Dick” Eakin. He is a graduate of Bainbridge High School and is self-employed.

The marriage will bring together their six children, Katlyn, Kara and Jayce Donalson and David, Natalie and Brooklyn Eakin.

The wedding is planned for September 27, at 6 p.m. at Harvest Assembly of God in Bainbridge, where the reception will follow. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
