Denis Charles McFadden, 55, of Apex, N.C. passed away, Monday, April 14, 2014 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
Denis was born Jan. 6, 1959 in Miami, Florida and grew up in Pompano Beach. He loved sports, playing football through school and surfing his entire life. Denis married the love of his life, Suzanne Connors, in 1983. Together they raised two beautiful girls and created a strong and loving family unit. Denis began his 31-year career with IBM in Boca Raton, Florida, and relocated his family to North Carolina in 1992. During his life, Denis demonstrated a passion for everything he did, demanding perfection of himself and helping others to achieve their potential. He had a dynamic personality and was dedicated to his faith, family, and career. Denis also was a true friend and great mentor to the many people whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, Denis McFadden.
Denis is survived by his wife of 30 years, Suzanne McFadden; mother, Anne Duffy McFadden; daughters, Alyssa McFadden; and Stephanie McFadden and husband, Joe; grandchild, Ansley Whitcomb; and six sisters: Pearl Seafield (Robert), Eileen Menendez (Robert), Kathleen Campos (Frederick), Patricia McFadden, Caroleen Dineen (Paul), and Fionuala McFadden, along with thirteen nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Road, Apex, NC 27502. Memorials may be made to Carolina Donor Services in Durham; or Cardinal Gibbons High School Surf Club in Raleigh.
