Eddie and Patricia Newsome of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Newsome of Bainbridge, to Chris Avery, son of Thomas and Donna Avery of Bainbridge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maybell Green of Bainbridge. She graduated from high school in 2010 and from Bainbridge State College in 2013 with a degree in early childhood education.
She is employed at First National Bank.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Tommy and Shirley White of Bainbridge. He graduated from high school in 2007 and from Albany State College with a degree in criminal justice in 2011. He is employed as a public safety officer with Bainbridge Public Safety.
The wedding is planned for March 22, at 5 p.m. at the Bainbridge Country Club where the reception will follow. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
