Bainbridge High School homecoming activities will be this Thursday, Oct. 24, and continue through Friday and Saturday with parades, dances and, of course, a Bearcat football game.
The women of the school homecoming court were voted on and selected this month and will be present at all of the homecoming activities, representing their school.
The homecoming queen and maid of honor will be determined by a vote of the students.  Principal Tommie Howell will crown one of the girls as queen during halftime of Friday night’s 8 p.m. homecoming Region 1AAAAA football game between the Bainbridge High School Bearcats and the Northside Columbus High School Patriots at Centennial Field.
Queen and maid of honor contestants are senior attendants Taylor Austin, Hannah Bius, Teena Jeffery and Morgan Phillips. The homecoming king is Re’Quan Parris.
Other members of the homecoming court are junior attendants Alexandria Carter and Chelsea Lynn, sophomore attendants Taylor Bush and Rickia Hughes and freshman attendants Shamuara Chukes and Ellie Jeter.
The homecoming parade will be Thursday. It will begin at 5 p.m. in front of the Decatur County Memorial Coliseum on Wheat Avenue and conclude at Willis Park, where a pep rally will be held.  The parade’s most spirited float will be selected through a judging panel and given an award.
The homecoming dance will be Saturday night at the Bainbridge High School gymnasium.
Homecoming activities for the students at the high school began Monday with Spirit Monday, Tuesday was nerd day and Wednesday is Disney day. Thursday will be throw back Thursday and Friday is purple and gold day.
There was a reception for former members of the Bainbridge High School faculty Tuesday after school in the Bearcat Cafe.
