Lady Cougars take weekend matches

Coach Erwin Harrell’s Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars volleyball team posted two road victories over the weekend
They defeated the Lafayette Christian Academy Lady Cougars 3-0 Friday in LaGrange and downed the Stratford Academy Lady Eagles 2-0 Saturday in Macon.
Going into Tuesday’s 6 p.m. home match with Dale County at Perry Memorial Gymnasium the Lady Cougars were 11-3 overall and 6-1 and in first place in Georgia Independent Schools Association‘s Region 3AA.
The Lady Cougars won the first set against Lafayetyte 25-20 . They took the second and third sets 25-13 and 25-8.
Leading the way for he Lady Cougars Friday were Kelsey Harrell with a 100 percent serve percentage converting 15 of 15.Kendi Castoro had 13 digs and Merrianna Parker had 25 assists.
Sarah Castoro also had a 100 percent serve percentage Saturday. She converted 12 of 12 serves. She also had 13 digs. Other top performers Saturday were Mellissa Mills with 15 kills and 15 digs. and Kelsey Harrell with eight kills.
