Mrs. Marian Maxine Hutchinson Wise, 82, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. Services for Mrs. Wise will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at 4 p.m., at the First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. David Grubbs will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Grandsons of Mrs. Wise will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m., at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.

Marian Maxine Hutchinson was born May 2, 1931. She and her parents, Edward Hutchinson and Jessie Barr Hutchinson lived in Beaverdale, Pa. She married Zane G. Wise, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Wise was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Post 4904 Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital; working mostly in the Gift Shop. Marian enjoyed crocheting and knitting and being a part of the Tuesday Lady’s Canasta Club. She enjoying playing Bingo and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Mrs. Wise is survived by her son, Zane G. Wise, Jr. of Bainbridge; daughters, Darlene W. Brogdon of Chattahoochee, Fla., Pamala Staples and husband, Raymond of Bainbridge, and Yvonne Whittaker and husband, Kennie of Donalsonville, Ga.; sister, Norma Barbarich of Beaverdale, Pa.; grandchildren, Billy Smith of Bainbridge, Jessica Lynn of Chattahoochee, Robert Alton Smith, and Tanner Hyatt of Bainbridge, Sabrina Whittaker of Panama City Beach, Fla., Christopher Whittaker of Lumpkin, Ga., Ronald Hyatt, Christopher Hyatt, and Chad Hyatt, all of Faceville, Ga.; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Neal Wise and wife, Ann Meredith Wise; grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Brogdon and Bradley Staples; sister, Betty Lou Neff; and brother, Robert Barr.
