Bainbridge State College’s recent announcement of its plans to expand into Donalsonville is great news for two cities — Donalsonville and Bainbridge.
BSC plans to open a 6,000-square-foot facility called the BSC Learning Center, in downtown Donalsonville. This facility will have four classrooms and will likely offer adult education and GED classes, as well as some courses in core subjects. It is expected to be open by fall 2014, with groundbreaking set for fall of this year.
This new facility will help serve many students in Seminole County and the surrounding area, who will no longer have to spend as much on traveling to Bainbridge for some of their classes. It will also help BSC and the city of Bainbridge, by allowing the institution to increase its service area, and to continue to work toward its goal of being the premier academic institution in southwest Georgia.
It truly is great news for two cities, as well as this entire region.
