Bonnie D. Whatley, 77, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ken Davidson officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Blakely Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Whatley was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Tecumseh, Okla., the daughter of Luther Christopher Columbus Churchwell and Mamie Mary Ethel Swinger Churchwell. She was a graduate of Macomb High School, Class of 1953, and of Bainbridge College. She was a licensed practical nurse, specializing in geriatric care, and was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Whatley Jr.; her sons, William D. Whatley and Matthew W. Whatley; and her daughter, Cheryl W. Ellison.

Survivors include her son, Tom Whatley III and his wife, Michelle, of Bainbridge; her daughters, Paula Inlow and her husband, Vincent, of Bainbridge, and Tammy Whatley of Tallahassee, Fla.; her siblings, Orval and Willie Mae; her 10 grandchildren; and her 24 great-grandchildren.
