Syrup Sop Pep Rally is Tuesday

The Third Annual Syrup Sop Community Pep Rally, hosted by the Bainbridge High School cheerleaders, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Willis Park in downtown Bainbridge from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Bainbridge High School Marching Band will perform and there will be many activities for kids. BHS cheerleaders and football players will also be at the pep rally.

Kids’ activities will include face painting, football toos, the “Purple Parade” around Willis Park, the Cat Walk, Bean Bag Toss, Syrup Bottle Ring Toss.

Downtown merchants will stay open late so that fans can shop during the event.

Fans are encouraged to wear their purple and gold to support the Bearcat football team as they prepare to take on the Cairo Syrupmakers on Friday night.

Residents are also asked to decorate their yards, businesses and shops with purple and gold to support the Bearcats as they prepare for their annual rivalry game.
